Project 100 Pan
After saying yesterday that I wasn't going on a no buy, guess what? I'm going to do Project 100 Pan. I know, how crazy am I? And what terrible timing! Finances have been tight for a while now so I haven't been buying anything, plus I've recently completed P50P. We are now finally at the point where I can buy a few things if I want to and I get talked into doing a Project 100 Pan.
I hold Jessica and Kimberley responsible for this. Jessica mentioned it on twitter and then when Kimberley said she'd do it if Jessica and I did, I stupidly agreed. Clearly the sleep deprivation has addled my brain.
In all seriousness, as much as I don't want to, P100P is very necessary. We are going to be moving into a rental soon and then we'll move into our own house, so I don't want to cart a whole pile of beauty products during two moves. Add to that, I have way too many products and finally using them up will be very rewarding.
This time around I'm going to concentrate on finishing make-up. I'd like to use at least two lipsticks, two foundations, an eye liner and a mineral foundation. I've never finished a mineral foundation so that will be an achievement for me. I'd also like to finish a perfume. I've been working on downsizing my perfume collection for a while now and have nearly finished all my sample tubes of perfume, so the gwp sized ones are next. It'd be great to finish a whole bottle of perfume.
Here are my rules:
I can only buy things that I totally run out of, there can be nothing in that category in order for me to replace it. For example, I can't buy another cleanser until I use up all the cleansers I have.
If I receive a gift voucher (such as the quarterly Priceline voucher), I can use it to purchase whatever I want, but only to the value of the voucher.
If there are limited edition products that I really want, I'll let twitter decide if I can buy it.
I will include samples, ten samples will equal one empty.
Wish me luck!

wow. I'm impressed. I mean, I did a 20 something pan - without focusing it on my blog, just for myself. And I couldn't stand it since may. It started in january I guess.
ReplyDeleteWill u blogg about ur way? And the products u decided to be part?
greez ella
It's going to be difficult!
DeleteI will blog about it as I go along, and if you follow me on twitter I'll be tweeting about it too. I'm going to get together a few of the products that I want to use up and I'll do a post about them.
:)
Hmm... this sounds interesting... what an awesome idea! Good for the environment, good for your pocket... I love it! Good luck x
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm going to need all the encouragement I can get, but it will be a great challenge :)
DeleteWoohooo I'm so excited! I'm also feeling a little bit daunted but I know we can do it!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I blame Jess too!
I'm feeling very daunted, but we will get through it!
DeleteGood luck! It's good you've given yourself a couple of reasonable exceptions to help you along. 100 makeup items seems so daunting - I wonder how long it will take to finish? - but I totally love the idea :)
ReplyDeleteOhhh, I should have clarified that, I'll be using up skincare, bath and body products too. It'd take me a lifetime to finish 100 make-up items.
DeleteThat sounds more doable, haha!
DeleteYou are very brave! I am better at giving away makeup to nieces and sisters than I am at using it up all the time, but having said that I've been good at using things regularly lately. Can't wait to follow this pan!
ReplyDeleteWE CAN DO IT
ReplyDelete*trust circle*
Good luck! xx
ReplyDeleteI've got to do something like that too... my lipstick pile looks similar to yours!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
