August Favourites

Tom Ford Pink Dusk lipstick - I've wanted this for ages and thanks to the generosity of two very lovely ladies, I finally have it. It's everything I hoped it would be and I absolutely love it.

Physician's Formula Happy Booster Blush - This has love hearts all over it, what more is there to say?

Physician's Formula Happy Booster powder - I find this to be such a versatile powder. I use it as a blush, face powder and eye shadow, which makes it great for when I'm in a hurry.

Rimmel Match Perfection blush - This is new to my collection and I really like it. I got the shade Light, which is ideal for my pale skin.

Rimmel Match Perfection bronzer - I'm a bronzer phobe, I just can't seem to get the application right. This however, is perfect. It's sheer so applies lightly and gives me a healthy flush of colour.

Tangle Teezer - I saw this on Nat's blog and knew that I needed it, because we always like the same things. She was right, it's amazing. I've only been using this for a few days but I am losing so much less hair then when I use a regular hairbrush. I've also noticed that my hair doesn't seem to be falling out as much as it usually does.

Buddha Balm Burnt Sugar Fig lip balm - This is the strongest tasting lip balm I've ever used. Since I'm all about flavoured lip products, I love it. Added to that, it's very hydrating and has been keeping my lips hydrated in the freezing weather we've been having.

L'oreal Super Liner liquid eyeliner - This has a soft felt tip applicator which makes it easy to use, it gives a  lovely fine line and has a really pretty shimmer to it.

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - I've been using this for a few weeks now and my skin feels so soft and smooth.

    1. You were stronger than me, I couldn't resist the Rimmel products. They are so pretty :)

I've wanted to try the EL serum for ages and finally got a full sized bottle, but thought I'd start with the little one to see how it goes. It could well become a holy grail.

    1. Stay strong! They aren't limited edition so you can buy them once your project pan is finished.

  5. I'm so glad you got that lipstick! The Tangle Teezer is amazing, I noticed my hair stopped coming out immediately and I've been using it for around six months all up now and my hair just feels better and thicker. I bought the Rimmel blush (I think I got Light/Medium) but it is too light for me and doesn't show up on my skin. Fail. And they look so good! Oh and I've got one of those L'Oreal liners too and agree, they have a great tip.

    1. I'm so glad I got the Tangle Teezer, it really is amazing. I'm hoping that my hair will get thicker with continued use.

The lipstick is beautiful, I want more Tom Ford lipsticks now :)

It's a shame the Rimmel blush doesn't work on you, I thought we were similar colouring but we mustn't be if it doesn't show up for you.

  6. And I meant to say, let me know how the Too Faced lipstick is. I've been considering one... Despite already owning more lip products than I need!

    1. I've used the Too Faced lipstick once and it doesn't seem very special, but I'll let you know once I've tested it more.

And I hear you on the lip products! :)

  7. I really want to try Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair - especially since I'm forever skimping on and neglecting skin care. The Tom Ford lipstick is such a luxurious product, the packaging is gorgeous and I'm sure it's a high quality lipstick :)
