P50P is over!

Yay! P50P is completed and I didn't cave! I'm so pleased with myself!
The last few products I finished were:
Angel Celestial Hair Mist
The Jojoba Company Cucumber + Guava Firming Eye Balm
My Lip Stuff Cocarmel Kick Lip Balm
John Plunkett Instant Wrinkle Filler
A'kin Vital Hydration Gel Creme
Sukin Foaming Facial Cleanser
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup

Doing P50P has taught me a lot about when and why I shop. I shop to cheer myself up and I impulse buy when I see something new. For me my purchases are more about having the latest thing rather than needing something. Not buying things has been easier than I thought it would be and finishing 50 products has also been easier than I expected.

From here on I'm going to do five out one in. For every five products I finish I'll allow myself to buy one new product.

Karen and I have also set ourselves a challenge. We are going to try to hit pan on a palette. This will be a huge challenge for me as my palettes are very neglected. I've never hit pan on a palette so it will be interesting to see how long it takes me. I've set myself another challenge too and that is to finish a lipstick. It's been ages since I finished a lipstick and considering how many I own, I really need to use some of them up!

You may be surprised to know that I didn't have a celebratory haul. I did consider it, however I decided that would defeat the whole purpose of doing P50P. There are a few products that I have my eye on and I may buy them when we get our tax back but I won't be having any huge hauls.

I'm considering doing P100P next, not sure if I'm strong enough for that though!

  1. Well done that is great! I am working on finishing up my Chanel lippy and some glosses, I'm doing quite well but not stopping myself from buying other things I really want. Don't have the strength to do a project pan! I have a pan hit post coming up, just hit pan on I think it was 5 things? Ecstatic! Congratulations again xx

    1. Thanks! I loved your pan post, it's been ages since I've hit pan on anything.

  2. Congratulations! I was thinking about doing a P100P later this year, but I seem to have my frivolous spending well under control after P50P which is great!

    1. That's brilliant, hopefully I will have the same result now that my P50P is over.

  4. This P50P thing sounds like some form of modern torture... well done for enduring! xx

    1. Yes, it was torture, but not as bad as I expected it to be.

  5. Congratulations! Wow, you're doing so much better than I ever did. I tried the Beauty No Ban and it didn't really work the full six months but I got 4 months through... I just like my beauty bits and bobs too much haha! I just did a big splurge too :( gosh I feel shameful next to your successful P50P.

I noticed you were maybe trying to access BlackBerry Beauty Junkie but I've closed it down in favour of my more laid back tumblr which I've linked in my name. x

    1. I usually am too. In all honesty I think I was only successful this time because I got through it so fast and because we haven't had any spare money for me to spend.

  7. Congrats on finishing P50P! When I read your reasons for buying I realised mine at quite similar. I've put myself on a spending ban until 29/09 and 29 days in I am doing ok (for now).

    1. Well done! I reckon the first few weeks are the hardest so you've done the hardest part.
