P50P Update

To my great surprise, P50P is going quite well. It hasn't been nearly as difficult as I expected it would be. Being on holidays and not being able to drive has helped, but I've also gotten to the stage where I'm overwhelmed with all the products that I have and I know that it'll take me years to use everything up. Plus, I've also realised that I just don't need anything new. Sure, there are always new and interesting products being released, but in all honesty they aren't that different to the products that are already available.

Finishing products has been pretty easy so far. I took Karen's suggestion and pulled out all of my half empty products to finish off. I've only got a few to go, so I think from here on in it's going to be more difficult as I'll be trying to finish full sized products which will take me a lot longer.

Rexona Clinical Protection Deodorant - I'm on my third bottle of this, it's great.

Nivea Visage Daily Essential Face Wipes - These are quite nice, but I still prefer my WotNot wipes.
MooGoo Double Cream - I didn't love this. Unsurprisingly it smells faintly like milk. There wasn't anything wrong with it, it's an effective moisturiser, but I just didn't love it.
Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector - I won this on Omega's blog and I love it. It is a gorgeous colour, moisturises my lips and tastes great.
Dove Original Deodorant - I've always been a fan of Dove deodorants but this one is a fail for me. It was totally ineffective at preventing body odour, even in the cold winter weather we've been having! I won't be buying this again.

Dove Clear Touch Deodorant - Worked well, not much else to say.

The Body Shop Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion - An oldie but a goodie.

EmerginC Red Carpet Primer - My favourite primer.

Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Sex Machine - I'll definitely be replacing this once P50P is over. I wore this on my wedding day, it's one of my favourite lip colours.

MMS Perfume - This was a copy of either Child or Michael by Michael Kors. Either way I love it and am sad I can't get it anymore.

Kosmea Skin Clinic Rosehip Oil - This is a great Rosehip oil, however in the future I'll use the Echolife Rosehip oil as it's a lot cheaper and just as good.

Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Foundation - A great foundation that I'd happily purchase again.

The Body Shop Chocomania Body Scrub - Smells amazing!

Ellis Faas Clear Lip Gloss L309 - The Ellis Faas click pens just don't work for me. They dispense way too much product and it's a real waste.

Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion - Nice but not amazing.

A'kin Lavender, Geranium and Jojoba Hand, Nail and Cuticle Cream - I really like this, mainly because of the lovely smell.

MMS Angel Mist - This is so old, there was only a tiny bit left so I used it as a room spray.

In Essence Gentle Cleanser - In Essence make beautiful products, this was no exception.

Corrynne's Fuller's Earth Face Wash - I've lost count of how many times I've repurchased this.

Ellis Faas Concealer S201 - More of this ended up down the drain than on my face.

Ardell Brow Gel - A holy grail. I won't use the tinted version again, it went all runny after about three weeks and was a waste of money.

RMK Foundation - Another really old product. There was only a tiny bit left in the bottom. This is a great foundation for winter but too hydrating for summer.

Kosmea Daily Facial Exfoliant - Another meh product. It wasn't awful but wasn't amazing.

Ardell Brow Pencil - This gave my MAC Lingering a run for it's money. The only thing I don't like is that it requires sharpening.

My tally now is:
Items finished - 31
Products purchased - 0

  1. I'm in awe of you doing a P50P. I've done a couple of P10P's (last year and the start of this year) and nearly went crazy but I might just up the ante to P20P next year anyway :)
