Jhirmack Silver Brightening Shampoo

Whilst I had blonde hair I was always on the hunt for an effective toning shampoo to keep my hair from looking orange and brassy. I thought I'd found the best one when I discovered L'oreal's Blonde Glam. I used it faithfully for about 2 years until I discovered Jhirmack's Silver Brightening Shampoo.

I've now used about four bottles of Jhirmack shampoo. I find it to be better than Blonde Glam. It kept my blonde hair looking bright and non brassy. Now that I've gone back to my natural colour I find that it keeps my highlights looking bright and healthy.

As with Blonde Glam I don't find this shampoo to be very moisturising. Because of that I use it along with a hydrating shampoo. If I use this on it's own it tends to dry my hair out.

Jhirmack says: Silver brightening shampoo is professional formulated to help neutralise yellowing, enhance highlights and tone down brassiness in grey, blonde and bleached hair. Jhirmack shampoos help protect against breakage and styling damage when used in conjunction with Jhirmack conditioners. Each formula is fortified with strengthening proteins and provitamin b5 which penetrate the hair cortex to improve hair's strength and protect against the damaging effects of styling and the environment. The result is healthy, beautiful hair.

Would I buy this again? Yes, it's cheap and effective.

Ingredients: water, sodium laureth sulfate, cocamphodiacetate, glycol distearate, sodium pca, hydrolysed collagen, tocopherly acetate, panthenol, nonoxynol-12, fragrance, citric acid, methylparaben, propylparaben, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, ext, d&c violet No 2.

    1. I bought it from Priceline, but it was years ago so I'm not sure if it's still available.
