Dermalogica Concealing Spot Treatment

I'm quite disappointed with this treatment. I had high hopes as all the Dermalogica products I've tried in the past have worked really well for me, but I'm really not a fan of this.

Firstly it's too light, it looks like I have a pale patch on my skin and it's really obvious. I have pale skin so it's quite unusual that it's too light for me. Secondly, it's really watery so quite difficult to get enough coverage as it's not thick enough. And thirdly, it doesn't really do much to hide my spots, it just seems to highlight them.

I've resorted to using this as a night treatment. It does seem to calm the pimples down, but doesn't make a huge difference.

Here's what Dermalogica has to say: An intense treatment with a natural-looking tint that quickly targets, conceals and helps clear breakouts and is ideal for day time use. Upon contact, concentrated Sulfur and Zinc Oxide help clear skin by eliminating bacteria associated with acne while clearing excess oil and congestion in the follicle. Niacinamide, Zinc Gluconate, Yeast and Cinnamon Bark extracts, Caffeine and Biotin purify and inhibit overactive sebaceous gland activity while soothing irritation. Salicylic Acid sloughs off dead skin cells that contribute to clogged follicles, helping to prevent future breakouts. Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

HOW IT WORKS:
Concentrated Sulfur and Zinc Oxide help clear skin by eliminating bacteria associated with acne and clearing excess oil and congestion in the follicle.
Salicylic Acid sloughs off dead skin cells, helping to reduce congestion and prevent future breakouts.
Niacinamide, Zinc Gluconate, Yeast and Cinnamon Bark extracts, Caffeine and Biotin purify and inhibit overactive sebaceous gland activity while soothing irritation.

Would I buy it again? No.

  1. Speaking of Dermalogica... Have you seen the new Clean Start brand they came out with. It's pretty affordable and my daughter loves it now.
