An amazing book

Now I know that this isn't beauty related at all, but it's such a great book that I really wanted to share it with you. For those of you who work full time, you probably haven't heard of Randy Pausch. He was an amazing man, who died in July this year, at the age of 47, of pancreatic cancer.

But he's not famous for that, he's famous for his Last Lecture. He was a lecturer at Carnegie Mellon University in the USA. Over there, it's a tradition for retiring teachers to give their last lecture. When Randy did this he was recording his last words of wisdom for his three young children, imparting to them the way he hoped they would live their lives.

You can view his lecture on You Tube, by following this link:
Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams

When he gave his last lecture there was a journalist in the audience who wrote an article about it. Since he gave his lecture (titled Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams), he's become famous. He's been on Oprah, spoken to congress and received a letter from the President. He's also written a book called the Last Lecture. I loved the book so much that I finished it in a night. I was very sad to read on his website that he'd recently died. However his legacy will certainly live on, as his last lecture has touched so many lives.

The principles by which this man lived his life are amazing, as are the lecture and the book.
